friendship is the anchor
of our humankind on earth
we are given a new year
to teach us all things change––
& to remind us
we must change
the angels have gathered
to lead us through time
we are crossing the ocean of kindness
& the islands of trust––
how can we allow any other
human being suffer?
it is utterly impossible to offer
respect without trust
to the north is the archipelago of
honesty––
where we see each heart
just as it is
to the south is the grand island
of goodness & beauty––
here there is no pain––
it is where our children come from––
where our souls return to sleep––
where our spirits
revive
we will be landing on the boundless
continent of harmony, peace &
tranquility––
all our brothers & sisters & ancestors
will be waiting to hug us &
love us––
where is there any space on this spare earth
for misunderstanding or hate?
our hearts are open for everyone––
& the sky is infinitely wide
