vanity
since corporations have
been granted human voice––
they say they want to take
more

martin luther rebelled
against the catholic church
for selling innocence
to sin––
over time, overtly & covertly,
wealth uses its power to
shape the laws to
capture as much of more
as possible––
to raise the law above
good & evil, beyond
virtue & good will
where right & wrong
won’t fit any more &
innocence disappears
politics is the means
to more
& politicians are
willing enablers––
scrambling for crumbs
inequality of wealth
renders democracy
impossible
wealthy persons have
no interest in being equal
to poor persons––
there is no earthly reason
for the winning class
to love, care for or respect
the losers they created
the wealthy want to own
the earth––
a spinning filament of a planet––
for no more than their ego’s sake
& their egos are proxies for their
soulless ids––
burning with blind desire like
sin
democracy demands equality
of wealth & equality of power
to bestow the blessings of
freedom & liberty on
all
We the People are equally
alive––
We the People are
One––
or We the People are
nothing
