screaming––
& the children of
the 911 dead
cannot lift their hearts
on this day
when the public is
afraid of shadows.
co-workers are
grieving––
waiting for the tears
of loss to come
& release them
from heavy
loss.
business
has moved on––
without words––
without ritual––
without memory––
too self-absorbed
to learn or experience
or feel a thing.
amerika will taste no
peace.
